Yesterday, we talked about the common SIBO challenges and the key ingredients for resilience. For Day 3, we’re going to discuss how and why mindset is a big part of a successful SIBO journey.
Having a positive mindset is a valuable tool for life, even more so when you are dealing with a chronic illness. Many of us go through life unaware of the negative self-chatter going on in our heads. We can’t avoid feeling sad or frustrated when dealing with SIBO.
That’s why it’s really important to tune in. Take note of your thoughts throughout the day to get a gauge on the frequency with which negative thoughts are occurring. As your thoughts arise, learn to acknowledge them and accept them for what they are and then let them go without engaging with them.
Studies have shown that the power of the mind can support the body to heal. You are more likely to achieve something if you believe you can.
